About Me
Hi!
I’m Sashika Edirisinghe, a dedicated educator with over 10 years of bilingual teaching experience in Sri Lanka. My passion lies in making learning accessible, meaningful, and empowering for all students, especially in multilingual and multicultural settings.
I hold a Bachelor of Education degree, a Master of Education (M.Ed.) – Coursework, and certification in CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning). Currently, I’m expanding my academic journey by pursuing a second Master’s in Educational Theory in Sweden. This new chapter deepens my commitment to educational research and reflective practice, particularly in the areas of bilingualism and CLIL methodologies.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked to create inclusive learning environments where language is seen as a bridge, not a barrier. I’m especially passionate about exploring how bilingual education can unlock students’ full potential and how theory and practice can come together to shape more effective and equitable classrooms.
This blog serves as a platform for me to share insights, research, teaching strategies, and classroom reflections. Whether you're an educator, researcher, or someone curious about language and learning, I hope you find something here that inspires you.
